Harlem Juke Joint Tour
This Harlem jazz experience is far from ordinary. The Juke Joint Tour lasts about four hours—roughly one hour exploring Harlem’s historic sights and three hours inside hidden jazz clubs—though the order of the evening changes with the rhythm of the night.
Along the way, you’ll see why Harlem has stood at the center of jazz for over a century. From the Cotton Club and Savoy Ballroom to Minton’s Playhouse, Swing Street, the Tree of Hope, and the Apollo Theater, history comes alive in the very streets that shaped the music.
No two tours are ever the same. Your guide is an insider, plugged into the scene, who curates each night based on hot tips from musicians, club owners, and fans—ensuring you experience Harlem’s jazz culture as it’s unfolding right now.
Inside the clubs, world-class musicians and local heroes perform in intimate settings where every note feels close and personal. Food and drink are available for purchase throughout the evening, and for guests with talent as singers or players, there may even be a chance to join the jam. Most of all, it’s the atmosphere—the mix of locals, fans, and musicians—that makes each night an experience that will stay with you and enrich your life long after the music fades.
